Walker Starts Defense of TCC Pro-Am Snooker Title

Welshman Lee Walker returns to the Tredegar Constitutional Club Pro-Am on July 2nd looking to defend the title he won in 2008.

The 33-year-old, former main tour professional starts his defence in the second round against either Alun Squire or Ron Allen.

On the other table club steward and World Number 54, Paul Davies, who will also be representing Great Britain at the World Games in Taiwan, also starts in round two where he will meet either Darren Morgan or Kishan Hirani. Davies and his wife took over the stewardship of the TCC only three months ago and this will be his first time as player/owner of the venue.

The action can be seen live on Web TV channel, Cuesport TV from 7:30pm (UK time) exclusive to Cuesport TV subscribers. Subscriptions went live on Monday 29th June and can be purchased from just £2.90 for a 24 hour pass. Special offer passes are available until July 5th 2009.

The first week was a huge success and Managing Director of Cuesport TV, Pete Williams, had this to say, "The TCC is an event that Cuesport TV is built for, it is fantastic for us to be able to provide coverage of an event that would otherwise be overlooked except for the online press. The venue is very intimate and I think we managed to portray this with our live pictures last week. I am looking forward to the quarter finals already where Mark Williams will play Shaun Murphy."
