Ouschan Honored at Austrian Walk of Fame

The "walk of fame" or in german "Strasse der Sieger", is a part of the most known shopping street in Austria, the Mariahilferstrabe in Vienna. Under the auspices of the Generali-Gruppe, stars from all areas have left their hand-and foot prints for eternity.

Currently, over 180 Austrian and international World Champions, Olympic Champions and outstanding personalities have eternalized their hand- and footprints. Notable honorees include Franz Beckenbauer, George Foreman, Niki Lauda, Carl Lewis, Gail Devers, Merlene Ottey, Jaques Villeneuve, Pelé, the reigning governor Arnold Schwarzenegger and also contemporary athletes like Bode Miller, Renate Götschl, Kate Allen and Jasmin Ouschan's countryman Franz “Kaiser” Klammer can be found on this street.

At the beginning of November, Ouschan was honored, due to her international success, to eternalize her hand- and foot prints on this street, together with the “Austrian sportsman of the year 2009”, Wolfgang Loitzl.

"It is such an honour to be eternalized on this street with so many big stars. That is a milestone in my career and a sign and recognition from my country that I am on the right track.”
