Maybe pool's a little like real estate, where the important consideration is location, location, location. Sam Monday went undefeated and won his second Great Southern Billiard Tour stop of 2010, playing (again) at Fast Eddie's in Goldsboro, NC, where he'd won his first 2010 GSBT event in June.  In his three attempts at Fast Eddie's on the GSBT, he's won twice and placed second once. He placed second there twice in 2009; once on the GSBT and once on the Jacoby Custom Cues Carolina Tour. The $1,500-added GSBT event on the weekend of September 11-12 drew 53 entrants to (you guessed it) Fast Eddie's in Goldsboro.

Among the winners' side final four, Monday sent Larry Faulk west 11-5 to get into the hot seat match versus Steve Page, who'd defeated Tony Morrison 9-6.  Monday sent Page to the semifinals and waited in the hot seat for Mike Fuller to complete a seven-game winning streak to face him.

On the one-loss side, Fuller, with two victories already, defeated Dylan Whaley 11-4 and Greg Taylor 11-3 to meet Morrison.  Faulk drew Chris Bollmar, who'd gotten by Chris Adams 9-1 and Montez Lloyd, double hill. Fuller dropped Morrison into the tie for fifth place 11-4, as Faulk squeaked by Bollmar 9-8.  Fuller and Faulk locked up in a double hill quarterfinal, with Fuller advancing to the semifinals versus Page.  Fuller's 11-7 win over Page put him into the double elimination final against Monday.

Fuller forced a second set by chalking up a lopsided 11-1 victory over Monday in the opening set.  Monday, though, boasting the best record of the GSBT's double-A players, turned the tables in the second set, winning it 11-4 to take home the event title.
