Choneyi Tenzin Claims Second “Rack ‘EM Up” Tour Stop Over a Full Field

The “Rack ‘EM Up” New England 9 ball tour made its second stop of the 2010-2011 season at Snookers Sports, Billiards, Bar & Grill in Providence, RI. With a full-field of 64 players, the victor of the October 3rd tournament would have his or her work cut out for him.

The Tenzin brothers came out firing, with Choneyi and Tsephel diligently working their way through their respective brackets. Tsephel fell to George Comerford who eventually met up in the hotseat against Choneyi. Coneyi defeated Comerford to send him to the one-loss side.

Meanwhile in the one-loss side, Van Sy and Rich Minichello met up in the quarterfinals. In a tough hill-hill match, Sy narrowly escaped Minichello, leaving our previous tournament champion to settle for 4th place. In the semi-final match-up George Comerford defeated Sy in order to move onto the finals.

In the finals, Comerford met up with the only player he had received a loss from that day, Choneyi Tenzin. Comerford defeated Tenzin in the first set, however, in this true double elimination tournament, Tenzin fought back to become the tournament champion. Congratulations to Choneyi on a great day.

Also congratulations to our two players who won the break and run raffle: Debra Nicoll and Josh Gormly, and to our cue and case raffle winner John Hussey.
