Earthquake wins Falcon Tour finale

Keith McCready collects the prize money from Andy Lincoln

The Falcon Cue 9-Ball Tour held their season finale at Champions Billiards Cafe in Laurel, MD with a field of 66 players in the open division.

The top sixteen players on the points list were seeded into the brackets, but both the #1 seeded Mike Davis and #2 seeded Pooky Rasmeloungon dropped their first matches right out of the gate.

Davis came back with a vengeance and won 11 matches on the left side of the board to get to the finals where 'The Earthquake' Keith McCready was waiting for him.

Davis may have had momentum going into the match, but McCready rolled over him 9-2 to capture the tournament win.

McCready collected $1600 for first place, while Davis settled for $1050. James Henson and Jerry Slivka filled out the top four positions. The second place finish by Davis earned him the #1 spot at year end on the points list. McCready finished in second place on the points list.

The ladies division saw twenty women compete. Once again, it was Sueyen Rhee cruising untouched and winning the event. Rhee defeated Kim Jones 7-2 for the hot-seat and then defeated Gwen Dickert 7-3 in the finals. The second place finish by Dickert was her best all season.

Rhee collected $450 for first, while Dickert earned $300 for second place. Kim Jones and Ellen Yu filled out the top four spots. It was Yu's first Falcon Tour event. Sueyen Rhee took the top position on the ladies points list by a huge margin.
