Masters 10-Ball Tournament

To Players, Sponsors, Vendors, Fans:
Well it is “crunch time” and Shannon and I cannot wait to see all of you at this year's Masters.  The field of players is growing daily and more seats will be sold before and during the event for of our “pool” enthusiasts who are looking to witness this spectacular event unfold, and all of the talent is has to offer. We would like to remind all of the vendors, that there are only a few spots left.  We would also like to remind everyone that Q-Master Billiards off of Princess Anne road will remain open from this Sunday the 27th until March 6th. If you are interested in the last few spots for sponsorship, please email us at usopen9ball@yahoo.com or call either myself or Shannon at (757) 499-8900.  With that being said, we would like to jump straight into the details of the event and matches.

We will be using twelve Diamond nine foot tables for the Pro event, and twenty-four of Diamonds seven foot tables for the World's largest amateur league; the A.P.A. and their Regional event. The Player's Meeting and Draw deadline is Monday, February 28th, 2011 (02/28/2011) at six o'clock p.m. (6:00 pm).  We have eliminated the late fee, so players can pay up to 6p.m. on Monday! Tournament play begins on Tuesday, March 1st 2011 (3/01/2011) at eleven o'clock a.m. (11:00 am).  With the amount of calls that we have received in the past few days, we are expecting around 100 players, with this being said we will still be adding, $30,000.00, bringing the purse to $80,000.00.  Who else would add that much?  So players, come on down, the price is right!

The payout with 100 players would be:

1st- $15,000
2nd- $7,500
3rd-$6,000
4th-$4,500
5-6th $3,000 each
7-8th -$2,500 each
9-12th -$2,000 each
13-16th -$1,500 each
17-24th -$1,000 each
25-32nd -$750 each
33-48th -$500 each

Adding $30,000.00!

We think this a great break-down, especially for a short and sweet 5 day event, paying ½ of the field!

The tournament schedule will be as follows: Tuesday thru Friday matches will be 11 o'clock, 1 o'clock, and 3 o'clock for the morning and afternoon matches, and 7 o'clock p.m., 9 o'clock p.m., 11 o'clock p.m., for the evening matches. The final day, Saturday, only four (4) players will remain, and the semi finals will be held at one o'clock p.m. (1:00 pm), and three o'clock p.m. (3:00 pm); with the finals beginning at seven o'clock p.m. (7:00 pm).

All matches will be a race to eight games won, playing by International 10-Ball Rules; with the semi-final matches being a race to eight games won, with a two game lead, but a cap at ten. Therefore a semi-final match with a 9-9 score means hill-to-hill. The Final match of the day will be a race to ten games won, with a cap of thirteen; therefore again meaning that if the matches were to read 12-12, then they would again be hill-to-hill.

Once again we would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the players, sponsors, and fans for all of your dedication to this sport, and am extremely proud to be a part of this with each and every one of you. Shannon and I look forward to hosting a successful event once again, as we do each and every year for the U.S. Open. We are looking forward to seeing each of you have a great week at this year's Master's 10-Ball Tournament.

Sincerely,
Barry Behrman – Founder and Promoter
Shannon Behrman Paschall – Co-Promoter
