Stevie Moore made it 'two in a row' at Side Pocket Cue Club & Grill in Marietta Georgia over the weekend with his second straight SE Open 9-Ball Tour win.
Moore won last week's event at Burrkat's Billiards in Monroe NC from the one-loss side, but went undefeated this time and beat Doug Kessler in convincing manner 9-3 for the hot-seat. On the one-loss side, Kessler lost to Tommy Kennedy who had been beaten by Moore earlier in the day on Sunday.
The extended final match saw Kennedy pull out to a 3-2 lead before Moore ran five straight racks to take an 8-3 lead. Kennedy fought back to 8-7, but was unable to get over the hump as Moore went on to win the match 13-10.
Moore collected $700 for first, while Kennedy took home $450 for second. Kessler and Bruce Berrong filled out the top four spots. Leslie Cooper was the top finishing female and Sammy Williams the top finishing junior. They each won $50.
The SE Open 9-Ball Tour will be at Mr Cues 2 in Atlanta, GA on February 28th - 29th for the season finale.
