Word coming out of the Super Billiard Expo on Saturday is that Mark Griffin of Diamond Billiards fame has purchased the Billiard Congress of America league system.
The BCA has been courting buyers for a number of months now, and Griffin stepped to the plate and made it happen. Griffin assures everyone that nothing will change as far as the BCA National 8-Ball Championships and that in fact, more amateur events will be added down the road.
Griffin, along with Bob and Eydie Romano, are the producers of the Midwest Billiards Open/Expo scheduled for October 6th-10th in Chicago, IL.
This purchase should have no effect on the BCA Open 9-Ball Championships and does not involve the BCA Trade Show in any way.
