Albert Baker and Bill Morris

The 2012-2013 Pure X Cues All American Tour – presented by the American CueSports Alliance (ACS) – showcased its nineteenth stop of the Tour year at Q’s Sports Bar & Girl in Port Charlotte, FL, Saturday, February 9.  The $500-added 8-ball handicapped tourney on 7-foot Valley bar boxes drew 28 players.

The winner’s-side quarterfinals had Ken Coulter getting by Dave Colega 4-3, and Albert Baker - the only Master player in the field racing to 6 - beating Rom Nichols 6-1. The one-loss side found Paul Januzzi defeating Terry McCollogh 4-2 and Bill Morris defeating Will Scholtz 4-2. Paul Januzzi was sent home in 5/6 spot by Rom Nichols 4-1, and Bill Morris did the same to Dave Celeja 4-1. On the winner’s-side Albert Baker made short work of Ken Coulter 6-2 to top the winner’s side. Back on the one-loss side, Bill Morris sent Rom Nichols home 4-2. Morris continued building momentum, defeating Ken Coulter 4-1. Baker and Morris faced off in the finals with Morris defeating Baker 4-1 and repeating the last set 4-1 for the tournament win!

Dennis Whetzel of Port Charlotte won the Purex Jump Break Cue.
