TAP League News

Is everyone getting anxious for some spring weather? Or how about getting a bit antsy for the Super Billiard Expo and TAP's Dream Team events? That's what I am talking about! With the Expo being in April for the first time and at a new location in Edison, New Jersey, this looks to be a very exciting and interesting Expo to say the least. Not to mention TAP is  growing at such a rapid pace nationally that they have decided to open the team event up to approximately 200 teams this year! TAP's national growth is reflected here on a local level too. LH TAP's Spring session is in full swing and we have experienced a nice growth spurt of 10% over the Fall 2012 session and 25% since 2011. Not to mention over 100 new members have joined since last fall to the present. Plus many old players are coming back to TAP so the word is getting out.

And not to mention, LH TAP 9 ball is back after a few years of inactivity. Two sessions are planned and one team from the new Westmoreland division will earn a spot into the TAP nationals in Chicago this fall. With all this being said, there is plenty to cover on a local level so let's get to it and..........RACK EM UP!

Captain's Tourney & MVP Dream
Team Event Results,
The Alley, February 9

The Alley was a buzz on Saturday February 9 for two events, the LH TAP MVP team event and the captains scotch doubles tourney. 28 doubles teams fought it out for the total prize fund of $840. When the smoke cleared after a long day, Ed Sebeck and his partner, Stew Leone decided to split the first and second place $550 combined pay out with Scott Grote and Becky Christian. Team captains received a free LH TAP tee until supplies or sizes ran out. One nice testimonial came in stating......"Sam, This is Scott Shirk. Ben and I played your scotch doubles tournament yesterday and we just want to let you know somebody appreciated what you did by putting that on. It was a great experience and I will definitely be back again. Thanks again and looking forward to it again!"

In the MVP team event with the winning team getting their entry paid into the Rally at Edison Dream Team event it was the all stars from Ebensburg outlasting the Greensburg MVP's. The matches were live streamed on UStream and we had two guest commentators that I would like to thank. Mic Sekerak pulling in the main duties and Dave Stager pitching in later on in the day.
