Arthur Ball, (Art), is owner of Ball Billiards, a Plano, Texas shop specializing in anything with wood. Custom cabinets, etc. But his real passion is building pool tables and restoring antique pool tables. An avid pool player, Art is known to much of the Dallas area pool community.
Art is a member of the Plano VFW. He has a wife of many decades, children, and grandchildren.
Art, 66, is undergoing his third round of cancer treatment. This time it is a brain tumor and if radiation doesn’t have its effect, well, let’s not go there. Art is having to close up shop, sell his beloved woodworking tools, and jam any work projects into his home garage.
The BCAPL Dallas8Ball league is having a benefit tournament for Art to raise a few dollars to help out. Donations of goods, services, and cash are being collected and a tournament will be held on March 24th at the Billiard Den in Richardson, Texas.
