Billiard Education Foundation Returns to the Super Billiards Expo in Jersey

The Billiard Education Foundation (BEF) will return to the Super Billiards Expo April 4-7 to raise funds for junior programs and academic scholarships through drawings and donations. Stop by the booth to show your support for the organization and earn a chance to win some billiard must-haves including a custom J. Pechauer cue (valued at $2,200), a Qpod and Kamui chalk package (valued at over $200), billiard magazine subscriptions, and many more great prizes.

This year, the two Junior Amateur Divisions at the Expo (the 17 & under and the 12 & under) will both be qualifiers for the 2013 BEF Junior National 9-Ball Championships. The top three finishers from each division, including the highest finishing girl, will all earn spots to Junior Nationals. Currently, the 17 & under division is filled with a full field of 64 players but there are still spots available in the 12 & under division. There is no entry fee to participate and juniors can win trophies and prize money. The juniors events are held Saturday and Sunday, April 6-7.

“We’re excited to be involved with the BEF again and to qualify our young players for the Nationals. They are the future of our sport,” said Allen Hopkins, event promoter/organizer. The Super Billiards Expo is an annual staple on the calendars of most East coast pool fans. This year’s new location of the New Jersey Convention Center will be no exception and plans to draw full fields in the amateur open, ladies, junior, and senior divisions, as well as the professional and pro-am events.

The 2013 Super Billiards Expo (www.superbilliardsexpo.com) will be held at the New Jersey Convention Center in Edison, NJ April 4-7. The Super Billiards Expo is a pool & billiards tradeshow that is open to the public, produced annually by Allen Hopkins Productions and has become the largest consumer orientated show in the history of billiards.

The Billiard Education Foundation (BEF) was formed in 1993 as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit charity committed to promoting a lifelong love of pool and building the next generation of players through youth programs and academic scholarships.
