Noted Instructor Ed Nagel Passes

It is with deep regret that I wish to inform members of the pool playing community, that on Saturday, April 19th, 2003, Ed Nagel, well known intructor, lost his battle with cancer. The management of the USPPA, as well as all members of the Northern California pool family would like to take this opportunity to offer condolences to his son Brian and all surviving family members.

Pool in general and specifically in the Northern California area have suffered a major loss. Literally anyone who has learned to play pool here in the last 40 years was directly or indirectly influenced by Eddy's teaching. At the time of his death, Eddy was actively engaged instructing Jimmy Wetch, top pro from the Minnesota area.

As managing partner of the USPPA and Eddy's friend and student for 35 years, I hope to find the proper tribute to thank Eddy posthumously for all his contributions to the game. He will be sorely missed, especially by true students of the game.
