Yu Ram Cha will team up with Charlie Williams against Tony Robles and Jennifer Barretta

Manhattan,NY- On March 18, 2007 the best male and female player from New York City will take on two of the top Korean born players in the world in the first Predator NYC vs Korea Challenge Match presented by Simonis Cloth and Dragon Promotions. Tony Robles, BCA Open Champion and top 10 American player along with Jennifer Barretta, WPBA Ranking #15 & Empress Cup Champion, will be taking on Charlie Williams and Yu Ram Cha. Former BCA Open winner Williams, known in Korea by his Korean name Hyeon Ho Kim, will be paired with Cha, 2006 Korea Womens Player of the Year .

"Tony is not only a great player, but a top-notch instructor and great ambassador of pool in NYC. Jennifer, like Tony, has been a towering presence in NYC pool for years. With an unswerving commitment to her development as a player, Jennifer has come a long way in a short period of time to become one of the most elite American players, as well as a highly ranked player on the WPBA tour. "These two represent everything that is great about NYC pool and, as close friends with great respect for each other, they should prove a very tough team to beat," says Stu Mattana, well respected expert on billiards and a sponsor of the match.

"Yu Ram is one of the most impressive talents that I've ever seen. Her technique is rock solid and I'd swim the Mississippi River in cold weather to have a stroke as straight as hers! She also has an amazing work ethic and has no problem putting in an 8-10 hour day of playing. The best part is she is as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside. I have no doubt she is going to be one of the greats in pool history." - Stan Shuffett, USA Coach of Yu Ram and Bo Ram Cha as well as Junior Champion Landon Shuffett.

The match will start at 8pm with a friendly scotch doubles match with the two patron sponsors of the event, Harold Siegel and Stu Mattana. Then the official matches will be underway with Robles taking on Williams in a 9-Ball race to 9, followed by Cha against Barretta in a race to 7. The finale will have the couples play a scotch double alternate shot match race to 7. Admission is free to all spectators.

"This is a great friendship match between two great billiard countries. We have a reputation for treating guests well especially when the best players in the world are stopping by New York City. It's always a pleasure hosting international visitors at Amsterdam." - Greg Hunt, owner of Amsterdam Billiards.

The event is sponsored by Predator Cues, the cue used by more professionals worldwide than any other brand. Also by Simonis Cloth, the most widely used cloth in the world for recreational and tournament play.
