With twenty-seven players in tow, the $500 added First Annual South Texas 8-Ball Open took play at RAX Sports Bar and Billiards in Kingsville, Texas the weekend of May 17th-18th.
The venue offered up eight AMF eight foot tables and one nine foot table, along with several dart boards and a foosball table for those on the sidelines. When all was said and done, Oscar Vasquez took home his piece of the over $2000 paid out. All in all, definitely a great payday since the event unexpectedly finished up in one-day. Behind Vasquez (from Mathis, Texas), Daryl Owens (from Kingsville) and Fast Eddies 9-Ball Tour director Lewis “Ironman” Jones from San Antonio rounded out the top three places.
