Pagulayan wins Joss Season Finale

Alex Pagulayan

Alex Pagulayan has won the Joss NE 9-Ball Tour Finale at Accu-Billiards in New Bedford, MA.

Pagulayan was undefeated with wins over Jean Therriault, Dave Fernandez, Mike Keith, Chris Leal, Santos Sambajon, and then two wins over Jose Parica. The first win over Parica went hill-hill before Pagulayan got the win and took the hot-seat. After Parica eliminated Francisco Bustamante, he got another shot at Pagulayan. This time, he was only able to get to 7 games before Pagulayan scored the win.

The win netted Pagulayan $5000, while Parica settled for $3400 in prize money. Bustamante and Tom D'Alfonso filled out the top four spots. While no stranger to Joss Tour fans, D'Alfonso opened some eyes with back-to-back-to-back wins over Frankie Hernandez, Mika Immonen and Earl Strickland.
