“The Running Man” Evan Broxmeyer has recently collaborated with Doug Patrick of Patrick Custom Cues located in Granite City, Illinois. Broxmeyer, from Long Island, New York, recently impressed the Illinois cue maker while attending the 2007 Derby City Classic in Louisville, Kentucky. Patrick decided to take the extra step to sponsor this professional player shortly thereafter.

Patrick Custom Cues was brought into existence back in the early part of 1995, after starting his business a year earlier providing cue repair services. Doug Patrick is not only a cue builder, but a player of twenty years as well. He works hard to design his cues with the player in mind providing maximum playability with careful consideration for balance and the hit. Patrick states that “he is building the best playing cues that he can build and offering them at a reasonable price.”

Broxmeyer echoed Patrick in commenting that “Patrick Custom Cues not only offers a solid hitting cue, but he believes the weight distribution is 100% perfect and the quality is phenomenal.” He continues, “Patrick is one of the best cue makers that he has had the pleasure of playing with and representing.” Broxmeyer started playing with Patrick's cues in January 2008.

Broxmeyer has consistently placed high and is a frequent competitor on the Mike Zuglan's Joss Northeast Tour and at one time participated on the men's professional tour. In addition to these two tours, Broxmeyer can be seen on the newest tri-state tour run by Tour Director Tony Robles, the Predator 9-Ball Tour. Some of his more recent career accomplishments include a first-time recent televised match at the 2007 U.S. Open and the title of 2006-2007 Most Improved Player of the Year on the Joss Northeast Tour.
