Rakin passes the torch to sister for WWR Tour win

It was a Rakin in the Western Women's Regional Tour winners circle this weekend at the Broken Rack in Emeryville, CA. Just not the Rakin people might expect.

Michelle Rakin, who is a familar face in the finals of every WWR tour event, found herself on the one loss side Saturday after a loss to Jessie Killian. Michelle found herself eliminated on Sunday after a loss to Eleanor Collado.

While Michelle struggled a bit in this event, sister Mary Rakin was mowing down competitors on her way to the hot-seat. Mary took the hot-seat with a win over Jessie Killian on Sunday.

Killian ran out of steam and lost to Collado on the one loss side setting up the match between Collado and Rakin in the finals.

Any hopes that Collado might have had of keeping Rakin from winning the event were quickly extinguished as Rakin cruised to a 7-0 win in the finals.

Rakin earned $320 for first, while Collado settled for $210. Killian and Revelina Morales filled out the top four spots.

The Western Women's Regional Tour will be at Hardtimes Billiards in Sacramento, CA for their next event on October 8th-9th.
