Reno Open, Simonis Championships Postponed Until 2011

After careful scrutiny The United States Pool Players Association and The Peppermill Resort Spa Casino have elected to amend the format for The Pacific Rim Billiard Expo.

As a result, the following changes are effective immediately:

The Reno Open and The Simonis Tour Championships will be postponed until 2011

The World Juniors Championships dates will be moved to Sunday, November 28th thru Wednesday December 1st

The World Wheel Chair Championships will be moved to Monday November 29th thru Thursday December 2nd

The USPPA Pro Am will be moved from Thanksgiving week to Thursday, December 2nd thru Monday December 6th.

All other events previously listed are postponed and under review for 2011.

The Two Cushion Club Poker Challenge will take place on the same dates originally scheduled which are Friday, Saturday,& Sunday, December 3rd, 4th and 5th and will retain $40,000 added $10,000 of which will be a seat in the 2011 World Series of Poker for the winner.

We hope these changes are convenient for any or all interested in attending the event.  After reviewing the schedule and evaluating the various conflicts that arose due to the scheduling we feel it is in the best interest of our association to recognize the contribution of our members and address member concerns regarding The Thanksgiving Holiday. Under the originally planned format  United States Pool Players Association members would be required to return to Reno more than once to participate in the Pro Am and Two Cushion Club Poker Challenge, a free roll for all qualified USPPA members.

We would like to thank the Peppermill and Simonis as well as our other sponsors for their support in this decision. We hope to see all of you at The Peppermill November 28th thru December 6th.
