Reno Right Around the Corner

The 46th Reno Open is coming round the bend at The Sands Regency in Reno Nevada.   As the oldest continuous professional tournament in the United States Reno will have some added features this year.

Over the years, affordability has been the hall mark of the Reno Events.  Along with The USPPA Pro Am which runs prior to the Open, there will be up to $150,000 in Cash & Prizes at stake with full fields in all events (256 players, 128 in Mini). See Links at USPPA for Poster and Flyer with entry form. –

Despite the lucrative prize funds, this tournament is the best bang for your buck in billiards today.  With close to $52,000 in real added money, and hotel rates for early registrants of $34 Weekend and $21 Weekday (all rates plus tax), this tournament just gets better.  Entry fees of $150 for the Open, $100 for the Pro Am and $25 for the Mini insure prize funds that pay well down the field.

The added money in these events breaks down with $26,500 added by The Sands in The Open and $12,000 by the Sands in the Pro Am.  The USPPA adds $13,500 to the Pro Am, $10,000 to the Pro Am main event, $2500 to the Break Pot and $1000 to the popular Mini Tournament

An added feature to this year's festivities will be the hosting of The World Juniors Championship and World Wheelchair Championships scheduled November 30th thru December 3rd with play commencing on Monday December 1st.

Special thanks go out to Championship Chevrolet in Reno Nevada for sponsoring a Chevy Silverado Truck for the Pro Am Break Pot.

Please Note:

All entry fees as well as all late fees go directly into the prize funds for these events.  There are no registrations fees, green fees or room rebating to make up the prize fund in any of these events.  In addition no participants are required to stay at the host hotel to play in any of the events or share in any added money associated with the events.
