Rifleman wins Hard Times One Pocket Event

Buddy Hall

'The Rifleman' Buddy Hall proved he still has that 'dead-eye' by rolling over six opponents on Thursday to win the Hard Times Summer Jamboree One Pocket Division.

Hall lost to Billy Palmer on Wednesday but but posted wins over Greg Sullivan and West Coast powerhouse Tony Chohan to keep his tournament hopes alive on Wednesday.

Thursday got started with dominating wins over Damian Alishan and Jerry Matchin. Hall followed these wins up with back-to-back 3-1 wins over Amar Kang and Billy Palmer. After Hall disposed of Dan Wallace in the semi-finals, all that was left for him to do was beat Jose Parica in the extended single race to 5. That task proved to be no problem as Hall cruised to a 5-1 win in the finals.

Hall pocketed $3000 for the win, while Parica settled for $2200. Wallace and Palmer filled out the top four spots.

The Summer Jamboree 9-Ball event will get underway on Friday and we will have complete brackets for the 9-ball event to go along with the brackets from the one pocket event.
