Sarah Rousey might have been the lowest ranked WPBA player and Ladies Spirit Tour non-regular who accepted the invitation to play in the Ladies Spirit Tour season finale this weekend, but no one told her that. Rousey, currently ranked 19th on the WPBA point list, rode the winners side and scored back to back 7-6 wins over Kim Shaw and then Monica Webb to get to the match for the hot-seat against Ladies Spirit Tour #1 ranked Tracie Hines. Rousey then won that match 7-5 to earn the hot-seat.
On the one loss side, Hines had to face Helena Thornfeldt who had lost her first match of the tournament to Monica Webb but bounced back with seven wins in a row to get this far. Thornfeldt ran out of gas against Hines though as Hines won 7-2 to earn another shot at Rousey in the finals.
The final match featured each player going on game winning streaks at different times. Rousey held an early 3-1 lead, but Hines came back and won three straight games to take the lead at 4-3. Those three games would be the last for Hines though, as Rousey won the next four games for the 7-4 win.
The seaon finale was a $7500 added event with great thanks to LTL Universe, Simonis Cloth and Rocky McElroy of Capones Billiards who hosted the event. Rousey earned $2225 for first place, while Hines settled for $1525. Helena Thornfeldt and Bonnie Coats filled out the top four spots.
