Rudy Alameda wins Tucson All American Tour Stop

3rd place Chris Paradowski, winner Rudy Alameda and runner-up Dave Capone

The twenty-ninth stop of the 2006/2007 McDermott All American Tour (produced by the American CueSports Alliance – ACS) was hosted by owner Bob Jackson at Main Street Billiards, in Phoenix, AZ, the weekend of March 31-April 1, and featured a $1,500 added purse with ninety players. The event included a double-elimination 9-ball format on 9 ft. Brunswick Gold Crowns, and Dave Capone (Tucson, AZ) ran undefeated to the finals. In the hot-seat match, Capone outlasted Chris Paradowski (Tucson, AZ) 9-8. Rudy Alameda (Tucson, AZ), having lost early in the tourney, made waves on the B-side. He eliminated Adam King (Phoenix, AZ) in the B-side semifinals and Chris Paradowski 7-4 in the B-side finals to gain a crack at Capone for the title. In the one set tourney finals, Dave Capone appeared to be in control most of the way – taking 5-1 and then 9-5 leads, only to have Rudy Alameda overtake Capone on the hill for the title 11-10!
