The Tiger Bay Area Amateur Tour's season has come to a close in grand fashion.  The $2800 total purse for the season finale brought in a total field of seventeen players that had participated in two prior events as was required to be included in the final event at Strokers Billiards in Palm Harbor, Florida.

As the day would progress, the spectators and players would see Jamie Toennies take hold of the winner's side of the brackets going undefeated until the end.  Toennies had wins over Sabra MacArthur Beahn; Stephanie McFarlin; Helene Caukin; and Shanna Lewis in the hot-seat match.

On the one-loss side, Helene Caukin was taking the long route to get to the semis with a third round loss to Michell Monk, then victories over Melissa Morlan and Stacy Lantz, only to have to settle into third place due to a beat by Shanna Lewis 5-4.  It was obvious Lewis was on the run as she kicked off the finals with a 7-2 set triumph over Toennis, then dominated the second set 7-0 to steal the final stop of the season away from Toennis who, up until that point, was undefeated.  Great season ladies!  To see the final standings for the season, visit www.baattour.com/standings.html

Many thanks to the tour sponsors Tiger Products, FuryCues.com, and Stroke It Wear for their continued support; and to all of the women that have made the tour such a success.  The next season will begin on January 24, 2009, at Strokers II in Tampa, Florida.  For more information on the tour, visit www.baattour.com
