Somebody Stop Her! – Miz Liz wins again in Pa

Liz Lovely, Room Owner Ken Majors and Kim Vergottini

The Jacoby Cues Great Lakes Tour made its way to the Bronze Eagle in Monaca PA on October 28th for the tours 4th stop of the 07-08 season. The room, which is owned by Ken Majors, is truly a pool oasis with it's large screen TVs, full bar, attached restaurant, 8 new 7ft Diamond Smart tables and the 2004 US Open final match table, signed by Gabe Owen and Thorsten Hohmann. I would encourage any player or league operator to check out this room.

Now for the tournament action. Once again “Miz Liz” (Liz Lovely) would prove to be the player to beat this weekend. The “tiny terror” offered her proof, defeating her first three opponents with scores of 7-1 over Kim Vergottini, Jen Hostert 7-1 and Liza Burke 7-2 to take her to the finals. On the one loss side, Kim Vergottini, who had lost her first match to Lovely, would work her way to the finals by besting Mercedes Miller 7-5, Julie Skripac 7-5, Tracy Inman 7-4, and Liza Burke 7-2, to set up a rematch with Lovely.

The finals, a single race to nine, showcased Lovely's dominance. She powered her way to a 9-0 blanking of Vergottini to take the win, her third tour victory in a row.

The Jacoby Cues Great Lakes Tour would like to thank the owner of The Bronze Eagle for hosting the event. The Tour's next stop is December 8th & 9th at The Rack Attack in Port Clinton, OH for a 1000.00 added tournament to be played on 7ft Diamond tables.
