Song Prevails at Viking Cue Billiard Event

May 1-2, 2010–The Viking Cue “Handicapped” Open Event kicked off on Saturady at Mr. Cues II in Atlanta, GA as players from around the region including Paul Song, Shawn Putnam and Brian White battled their way thru the the field for a shot at the first place prize.   
 
Paul Song would be the last man standing with a Handicap of 11 he would make his way thru the bracket defeating Danny Smith (11) 11-1;  Greg Nodine (7) 11-3;  Jeff Hook (9) 11-6;  Tim Orange (11) 11-5; Brian White (11) in the match for the Hot Seat.  Song would remain consistent with his game as he defeated Brian White in the first set of the true double elmination finals 11-1 to take home first place.
 
Brian White (11) defeated Desiree Furlough (7) 11-1; Xiu Zheng (7) 11-5;  Jeff Crawford (9) 11-4;  Jason Stemen (9) 11-2 before he was sent to the left side of the chart by Song.  White with and adjusted handicap of 9 would battle Stemen (7) in the semi finals for a trip back to the winner side of the chart.  White prevailed 9-3 sending him back to face off with Song once again.

The Viking Cue 9-Ball Tour donated a cue for raffle during this weekend's event.  The proceeds benefited Oscar Cerone who was a victim of a random shooting.
