Stevie Moore wins Mezz Pro Am Stop

Stevie Moore, Owner Jose Garcia, and Joey Testa

The Mezz Pro-Am Tour made its way to Q-Ball Billiards in Vineland NJ, on Sunday March 6, 2011 with an all star field of 42 players. This event drew such notables as Stevie Moore, Shane Van Boening, Joey Testa, Eddie Abraham, Josh Brothers, Matt Krah, and Jose Feliciano.

Leading the top half of the bracket was Stevie Moore with wins over John Greshock 7-5, Tim Dlugosz 7-3 and Paul Cooney 7-0. Then Stevie ran in to Shane Van Boening. This was a great match that had Van Boening leading 6-1 only to see  Moore grind it out to make it hill hill. Shane had an easy 9 ball for the win but the cue ball skidded and he missed the nine giving Stevie the win 7-6.

Joey Testa, out of Atlantic City and sponsored by Gary Conover,  led the bottom half of the bracket with wins over Mike Winover 7-1, Bob Milane 7-1, Jim Walder 7-2, and Josh Brothers 7-3.

Playing for the hot seat was Joey Testa vs Steve Moore. This was a great match that had Steve Moore pulling away late in the match to win 7-5 sending Testa to the one loss side.

Waiting for Testa on the one loss side was Eddie Abraham. After Abraham beat Van Boening 7-4, Abraham gave Testa a run for his money but in the end it was Testa winning the match 7-5 to get to the final.

In the finals it was Joey Testa vs Stevie Moore. For Joey to win the event he would have to beat Steve Moore twice. This day belonged to Steve Moore as he beat Joey Testa 7-3 to win the event.

I would like to thank all the players that came out to play and all the sponsors for their ongoing support.
