Top Seeds falling at WPBA SE Classic

The WPBA Southeast Classic is underway at the Hard Rock Casino in Hollywood Florida and the top seeds were falling to the one loss side of the brackets all day long.

Melissa Little came back from an 8-4 deficit to Susan Williams from Arizona to win her match and move on to face #1 ranked Allison Fisher. Little won that match 9-6 to send Allison to the left side of the board.

#2 ranked Karen Corr joined Fisher on the one-loss side after leading Kim White 8-7 but being unable to drop the final 9-ball. Corr fouled on a 7-ball to allow White to tie the match at 8-8 and then Corr missed a cross side bank on the case 9-ball leaving White a long straight nine ball which she fired in for the win.

Other top players losing matches on Thursday included Helena Thornfeldt who lost 9-6 to Miyuki Sakai, Vivian Villarreal who lost 9-4 to Sarah Rousey, Jennifer Barretta who lost to Megan Minerich and both Sarah Ellerby and Ewa Laurance who lost to Pamela Treadway.
