Van Boening scheduled to compete at Olympia Open II

Shane Van Boening, 2007 US Open Champion & Predator World Ten-ball Champion is scheduled to compete at the Olympia Open II. This $10,000 added event will be hosted by the Olympia Resort and Spa in Oconomowoc, WI. and directed by the experienced team of DR Pool Promotions, Inc.

In his amateur career, Van Boening posted 3 VNEA National Championship titles and is arguably one of the best bar box players in the world.   “I really wanted to attend this tournament last year but I had a scheduling conflict so I'm happy that I am able to attend this year. “ said Van Boening.

Last year's tournament drew 186 players and this year's entries are expected to exceed 200. This event is a handicapped tournament and will feature multiple divisions of 9-ball and 8-ball competition, including a new ladies division.

Spectators and players are invited to attend a special Trick-shot show and Challenge the Pro Contest with Van Boening from 6 – 8p.m. on Friday, January 2 at the Olympia Resort. Challengers will pay $10.00 for a game with Van Boening and will receive an autographed action shot photo and a chance to win other great prizes.  This challenge event, co-sponsored by OBCues and the Olympia Resort and Spa, will take place in the tournament room before the 8-ball divisions begin play.  Don't miss out on this opportunity to meet and challenge the two-time Mosconi Cup team member.
