The Florida Men's Pro Tour held their fourth event of the year this weekend, the Fall Roundup at Pro Billiards in Orlando, FL with a field of 52 players.
Buddy Hall took the hot-seat with a win over David Broxson and then Broxson lost to Nick Varner on the B-side of the board to set up the final match between Varner and Hall.
It was Hall's second trip to the finals undefeated and he hoped to improve on his second place finish back in August at the Planet 9-ball Pro Open. Hall was also trying to break the string of three straight events where the player who came from the one-loss side won the event.
The final match was a classic, but in the end it was Varner scoring the 13-10 win and continuing the streak of wins from the one-loss side.
Varner won $3000 for first while Hall settled for $1600. Broxson and David Grossman filled out the top four spots.
