WPC Final Eight

Day eight of the 2007 World Pool Championship dawned with eight players still competing for the title as well as the $100,000 in first place prize money.

The Philippine contingent is still three players strong with Francisco Bustamante being joined by Joven Bustamante and Roberto Gomez, both relatively new to a stage this large.

England is still represented by two players, Daryl Peach and Karl Boyes. Boyes eliminated Russian superstar Konstantin Stepanov on Friday while Peach sent Harald Stolka back home to Germany in his match.

Other players still hoping for a win in this event are Taipei's Po-Cheng Kuo, Mika Immonen and Vilmos Foldes.
