The first WPBA event of 2008 is being rescheduled for later in the year. The Odawa Casino Resort contacted the WPBA office this week to let the WPBA know that they would be unable to host the first WPBA Classic Tour event of the year, which had been scheduled for March 12-16th, due to some unforeseen personnel changes within the Odawa Casino Resort organization.
The Odawa Marketing Director, Matthew Mingrone, is working diligently with the WPBA office to reschedule the event for later in the year. Both parties hope to have those plans finalized by the end of January.
With the change in schedule, the WPBA will hold it's first Classic Tour event of the year at the Viejas Casino in San Diego, CA. The dates for this event are April 9th - 13th. This will be the 12th year that Viejas Casino has hosted a WPBA event, making it the ideal venue to kick off the 2008 WPBA season.
