Another Fast Eddie’s Win for SVB

Fast Eddies Olhausen 9 Ball Tour went to San Angelo Texas on March 7-8.

The $1750 added event saw 47 players sign up from the state and region. Finishing in the 7-8th positions were Charlie Bryant and Shane Harvey. Both are veterans and took home $200 for their efforts.

The 5-6th spots were claimed by, Robert Newkirk and Jodie Hall. Both played well and received $300 for their efforts.

The 4th place money went to James Davis Jr., who has been on fire lately with many impressive finishes al over the country. James took home $400.

Third place went to multi player of the year, Jui Lung Chen. Chen is a straight shooter and alway7s tough. He lost his first match and fought hard to salvage 3rd place. He cash for $600.

The hot seat came down to a battle between David Gutierrez and Shane Van Boening. David played flawlessly and sent Shane to deal with Chen before coming back in an attempt to avenge his loss. As one of the hottest players in the world, Shane handed Chen his final loss and returned to the finals.

SVB won the first set forcing a final race to 7 and handed David a final loss of 9-7. Both played well but, as David said, if you give a player like that more than one opportunity, you are going to get beat.

David G took home, $800 while SVB gathered $1200 for his weekends work. It was a nice finals and congratulations to both.

We would like to thank Ron Geyer of the Custom Cue Connection, Joe Salazar of Connoisseur of Custom Cues, Robbie Timms and Jeff Ridel of Behind the 8 Ball, and Jack Kompan of Mystick Cues. They are great vendors and supporters of the tour.

A special thanks to Paul Sumrall of S&S cue. Paul donates a very nice cue to raffled at each event which goes straight to the added money. He is a life saver.

Olhausen Billiards has been a sponsor of the tour since day one and without them the tour may not exist. We are truly grateful.

Finally thanks to Fast Eddies Billiards who facilitate the tour. You guys are just great.
Thanks to all players and we look forward to seeing you all again, March 21-22 at the Culebra location in San Antonio TX.
