Paul Vinas Wins Stop #5 of the Mezz LA 9 Ball Series

Stop #5 of the Mezz LA 9 Ball Series at Good Times Billiards started out with a tough field of SoCal pool players, with Paul Vinas (575) taking down his FIRST tournament win in the series! Paul started the tournament out very strong, defeating Dexter “MGK1” Villapando (548) in the first round, followed by a close hill-hill win over Shahdad Zand (634). In round 3, however, Paul took a hard 7-0 loss at the hands of Chaokun Li (593), sending him to the one loss side. From there, Paul went on a strong 5 game streak, defeating Scott Doucette (587), followed by a shutout over Derrick Cabrera (587), a hill-hill thriller over Abet Ng (601), a second win over Shahdad, and finally a big win over Julius Argumedo (577) that led him to the final.

Coming off his first Mezz LA 9 Ball Series win at Stop #4, Keegan found himself in the final yet again in back-to-back events. He went undefeated to capture the hot seat, starting with wins over Stop #2 & #3 Champion Michael Hansen (568), Scott Doucette, Izzy Doctor (496), Abet Ng, and finally Julius Argumedo. Will K9 make it back to another final this season?
