Cavalier Shines on Maxim Billiards Amateur Tour Event at The Green Room, Jackson, MS

The Maxim Billiards Amateur Tour Event was hosted at The Green Room in Jackson, MS. the weekend of February 26-27th, 2010.  The event welcomed 79 entries and paid out $4460 in prize monies.

Mark Cavalier would take home the first place win in the $1000 Added Maxim Billiards Amateur Tour's 9-Ball event that kicked off on Saturday.  Cavalier would begin his trek to first in the top half of the bracket defeating Benny Conway JR in his first match 9-5; Cavalier would remain undefeated through out the event defeating Shaun McKibben 9-5; Dewayne Haley 9-6; Jeff Strong 9-6; Daniel “Little D” McKenney 9-5 and in the finals Cavalier would defeat Daniel “Little D” McKenney in set #1 9-1 to take home the first place prize monies.

Daniel McKenney finished 2nd after defeating Johnny Sparks 9-5; Dedric Bingham 9-5;  Shannon Blount 9-6; Daryl Biggart 9-5; Patrick Boykin 9-5; and was sent to the one loss side of the brackets by Cavalier in the match for the hot seat 9-5;  McKenney would fight his way back to face Cavalier in the finals by defeating Benny Conway JR 9-6 in the semi finals.

The Maxim Billiards Amateur Tour's $500 Guaranteed 8-Ball event kicked off on Sunday with a full bracket of 32 players.   The finals would be a battle of cousins Chris Biggart and Daryl Biggart.  Both had worked their way through the bottom half of the brackets before facing off in the finals.  Chris Biggart began his bid for 1st place by defeating Shad Bilbrew 5-0; Johnathon Long 5-3; Johnny Sparks 5-3; Daryl Biggart 5-4; Clarence Moore 5-0 and faced off once again in the finals against cousin Daryl Biggart taking the win in the first set of the double elmination format 5-3.

Daryl Biggart defeated Micheal Edens 5-1; James Holmes 5-1; Danny Key 5-1; before his loss to Chris Biggart 5-4 sending him to the one loss side where he would fight his way back to the finals by defeating Johnathon Long 5-2; Danny Key 5-1 and Clarence Moore in the semi finals 5-1.
