Paul Lordi earns SE Open Win

The SE Open Tour was at Victory Billiards in West Palm Beach Florida this weekend with a field of 49 players.

Tour director and frequent event winner Tommy Kennedy found himself on the wrong side of the chart early on Saturday when a miss on the 9-ball at 6-3 led to a 7-6 loss to Corey Baker.

With Kennedy out of the picture on the winners side, it was another tour director who took control. Seminole Florida Pro Tour director John Ditoro navigated his way through the winners side and took the hot-seat with a 9-7 win over Paul Lordi.

Lordi won a 9-8 nailbiter against Claude Marrier on the one-loss side to earn the rematch with Ditoro.

Lordi made the most of his rematch with Ditoro and jumped out to a big lead. Ditoro mounted a comeback but was not able to catch Lordi on his way to a 11-8 win in the finals.

Lordi pocketed $650 for the win, while Ditoro settled for $500. Marrier and Kennedy filled out the top four spots. The top junior player was Jordan Labbe and the top female finisher was Chrissy Whitfield. Both players earned $50 bonuses.

Kennedy expressed his thanks to Brant and Ed Roberts as well as Iris for helping to run a successful tournament.

The SE Open Tour will be at Jim Bob's Pool Hall in Gulfport Mississippi next weekend.
