Bowman wins All American Tour Stop 3

The third stop of the 2005/2006 McDermott All American Tour (produced by the American CueSports Alliance - ACS) was hosted by owner James LaFavre at Leisure Time Billiards in Sterling, Illinois, on Sunday, November 20. The event featured double-elimination 9-ball on bar boxes, and E. Moline, Illinois room owner, Dwaine Bowman, sailed undefeated through the field. In the hot-seat match, Dwaine handed his son, Jamey Bowman (E. Moline, IL) his first loss, 5-3. In the loser's bracket semis, Rich Bideaux (Moline, IL) eliminated Tony Morales (Sterling, IL) 5-3. Bideaux completed his tournament bid with a loss in the loser's bracket finals to Jamey Bowman, 5-2. The title match was extremely competitive, as Jamey Bowman defeated Dwaine Bowman in the first set, 5-4, only to have Dwaine recover for a 5-3 win in the deciding set for the championship.

Dwaine Bowman was the highest-finishing ACS member as well, qualifying him for a free entry into either the 2006 ACS National 8-Ball Championships or the 2006 ACS National 9-Ball Championships - courtesy of the ACS. The ACS wishes to thank sponsors McDermott Handcrafted Cues, Silver Cup Chalk, PJ's Billiard Supply Co. and Samm's Side Pocket Productions for their support in donating "Value-In-Kind" product for this and all stops on the McDermott All American Tour.
