 Cliff Joyner dropped a first round match |
Play is underway at the 34th Annual Texas Open 9-Ball Championship being held at G-Cue Billiards in Round Rock, Tx.
While the top eight seeds received byes into the second round, other top players saw first round action. Robert Newkirk, James Davis Sr, Gordon Vanderveer and David Gutierrez all advanced to round two. Cliff Joyner was not as fortunate, as he lost his first round match to Champ Massingill.
The ladies division is also underway with 22 players fighting it out. Top seeds in this event include Kyu Yi, Amanda Lampert, Melinda Hinojosa, Courtney Peters, Kim Pierce and Jennifer Kraber.
