Archer wins Glass City Open

Archer was a jump ahead of the rest all week

It was 'another day at the office' for Johnny Archer as he defeated Danny Harriman 13-5 in the 2003 Glass City Open finals for yet another tournament win.

Archer started off the final match by breaking and running the first three racks and that set the tone for the entire match. Archer was consistenly making two balls on the break and keeping control of the table, while Harriman struggled to make balls on the break. For a fitting end to the match, Archer pocketed the 9-ball on the break in the final rack for the 13-5 win.

Archer adds the Glass City title to an impressive list of titles he has won this year, including the Brunswick Pro Players Championship, Western Canadian Open 9-Ball Championships, Central Florida Open, Molson Cup, World Summit of Pool, Atlanta Open and the “On Cue 2” 9-ball tournament in Manila.

Archer pocketed $8000 for the win, while Harriman took home $5000 for second. Danny Basavich and Shawn Putnam filled out the top four finishers.
