The 2008 BEF Junior Nationals have kicked off at the University of Arizona Student Union in Tucson, Az.
The 19 and Under Boys division features returning champion Richard Barney and sixty five challengers hoping to dethrone him this year.
Reigning 14 and Under Boys champion Landon Shuffett is back and hoping to defend his title against the twenty two other competitors in the field.
The 19 & Under Girls division will see a new champion as last years winner, Mary Rakin, is not in attendance this year. Chelsea Hardwick from Evansville, Indiana would appear to be the early favorite amongst the field of ten players.
Finally, the 14 and Under Girls division will see a field of five players competing in a round robin format. Reigning champion Briana Miller is back and hoping to defend her title.
We have online bracket for the three double elimination events and will also be reporting scores from the round robin event all weekend long.
