Can Li Continue His Shock Run?

CHINA'S Li He-wen will be hoping to extend his fantastic run in this tournament when he plays Vietnam's Luong Chi Dung on Saturday.

Li (pictured right) had never played in the competition before but has reached the quarter-finals and is only two matches away from the final and his encounter with Luong takes place on Table Two.

On the main table, Liu Cheng-chuan, one of three players from Chinese Taipei still in the event, faces German Ralf Souquet, the only non-Asian player left.

Ronato Alcano meets Wu Chia-ching and Rodolfo Luat meets Fu Che-wei in the other quarter-finals. It promises to be an exciting day as the two semi-finals also take place on Saturday at the Philippine International Convention Center.
