Edwards beats Hennessee in Tennessee

Tommy Kennedy brought his SE Open 9-Ball Tour to the Sevierville Billiard Club & Grill in Sevierville, Tennessee over the weekend where Russ Edwards came back from the one-loss side to defeat Jonathan Hennessee and claim first place.

Edwards lost to Anthony Morgan on Saturday but came back through the left side of the board to earn his spot in the finals. Edwards' opponent was Jonathan Hennessee, who had defeated Morgan for the hot-seat. After Edwards got his revenge on Morgan by the score of 9-8, the finals got underway where Edwards scored a 9-6 win over Hennessee.

Edwards earned $700 for first, while Hennessee settled for $500. Morgan and Rob Ganote filled out the top four spots. Melinda Smith was the top female finisher and Daniel Richardson the top junior finisher. Each earned $50.

Kennedy thanked room owner Mike Henry for finishing the tournament in Kennedy's absence.

The SE Open 9-Ball Tour will be at the Corner Pocket in Kenner, LA on March 12th - 13th for the next stop.
