The Viking Cue 9-Ball Tour welcomed a full field of 64 players to Fiddlestix Billiard Cafe in Canton, OH for a $1000 added 8-ball event.
The field will be whittled down to 32 players by end of play on Saturday with top players like Shawn Putnam, Marty Lawson, Chris Szuter and local favorite Ben Zimmer all still on the winners side.
Lyn Wechsler took an early trip to the one-loss side, thanks to a 7-5 loss to Lawson. Another early favorite, Tom Purich, took a quick trip to the one-loss side after a 7-2 loss to John Maki.
Play will continue all day Sunday.
