Kyu Yi Wins Fast Eddie’s Event In San Antonio

Helen Hayes and Kyu Yi

Sunday, September 16, saw 25 ladies venture to Fast Eddie's Embassy location for the ladies division in the Fast Eddie's Olhausen 9 Ball Tour sponsored by Ray Schuler Legacy Cues.

Top picks for the event were Amanda Lampert, Kyu Yi, Heather Lloyd, and Tara McCracken.

Finishing in the 5-6th slots were Audra Carter and Erin Cano. It's great to see both of these nice ladies back on the tournament trail.

The 4th place position was claimed by Tara McCracken of the Dallas area. Tara is a great shot maker.

Jennifer Kraber of Austin earned the 3rd place finish, but wasn't ready to go home. She plays very hard.

The hot seat match was between Helen Hayes and Kyu Yi, both of San Antonio. Kyu won the hot seat and sent Helen to the left side where she won over Jennifer to return and avenge her loss to Kyu.

Kyu, fresh off a win at the Texas State Open, had other ideas and defeated Helen, 7-5, to gain her second consecutive win. Congratulations to both for their great play.

A special thanks to Olhausen Billiards and Ray Schuler Legacy Cues for making this possible. Both these companies and their people are just great.

Thanks to Ron Geyer of the Custom Cue Connection, Jack Kompan of Mystick Cues, and Jerry Olivier of Oliver Custom cues for their support.

Thanks again to Jill and her crew at Fast Eddie's Embassy location. You guys are just great. Michelle, Marissa, and Christine make it a great and fun place.

Of course, thanks to Fast Eddies for allowing us to invade them each and every month for 5 years now. It has been great and continues to grow and grow.

Remember: College Station, Texas, September 29-30. Be there!
