It is very close to show time! This is THE year to attend the BCA
Trade Show in Las Vegas. Vegas has never been as affordable as it is
now. AZBilliards was there two weeks ago and the bargains are
everywhere. Half-price rooms, great show deals, and no long lines at
dining spots! Las Vegas is on sale and you can get there on very cheap
flights as well.
Once there, buyers will find a market well suited
to their liking. Many retailers have allowed their inventory levels to
drop as a tool in the fight against the recession. But the economy is
beginning to turn, the Christmas selling season is right around the
corner, folks are beginning to use their wallets again and the values
now available from manufacturers makes this a prime time to energize
those pale inventories.
Let's face it, this is a buyers market. The
manufacturers are responding to this by coming out with new lines of
goods that are priced beneath their old lines of equal quality. You can
buy better cues, better tables, better racks and other accessories at
prices that are the best they have been in many,many years. If you are
a room owner who is considering adding a pro shop there has never been
a better opportunity for you to do so.
Retailers, remember the old adage. You can't sell
what you don't have. It is now a familiar wisdom that crisis creates
opportunity. Las Vegas is where that opportunity blooms for the
billiard business.
