MNBilliards.Com Announces Formation Of The “Stars Of The North” WPBA Regional Tour announced today that the Women's Professional Billiards Association (WPBA) has approved the formation of the "Stars of the North" WPBA Regional Tour as of July 1, 2003. This tour, sponsored by the Upper Midwest's premier billiards Internet portal, will qualify Upper Midwest women billiards enthusiasts for WPBA Pro Tour competition. This tour will operate in Minnesota, Wisconsin, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Iowa.

"The Upper Midwest has a strong tradition of supporting ladies billiards. Few people realize that nearly 20% of the BCA Women's Masters list and over 28% of the VNEA Women's Masters lists are players from this region," states Kelly Larson, President and Regional Tour Coordinator. "Supported by strong casino tour operations and pervasive league play throughout the five state area, we anticipate that this tour will be able to provide unprecedented opportunities for our women players. In turn, we are excited to have the Upper Midwest formally represented on the ladies pro tour."

Ewa Mataya Lawrence, President of the WPBA: "The WPBA would like to extend their welcome to "Stars of the North" Tour, and to the women players of the Upper Midwest. We look forward to seeing the talent from this region contribute to the growth and caliber of competition of the WPBA."

The "Stars of the North" WPBA Regional Tour will hold their inaugural event at Shooter's Billiards in Burnsville, Minnesota on July 26th, 2003. The winner of this event receives a paid entry into the 2003 Cuetec Cue's Women's National 9-Ball Championship, in Lincoln City, Oregon, on November 19-23, 2003, courtesy of Coors Light.
