Kyoko Sone Pockets Third Straight NWPA Event

Kyoko Sone Pockets Third Straight NWPA Event

The last two stops of the Northwest Women's Pool Association have seen almost identical final match-ups, Kyoko Sone and Linda Carter. The $500 added event held at Uncle Jack's in Lynnwood, Washington the weekend of September 8th and 9th proved to be a repeat of those results yet again. The finals for this event was one race to nine and ended with a final score of 9-7 after another great battle between Sone and Carter.

With her third straight NWPA victory, Kyoko Sone continues to dominate the tour and extends her lead on the NWPA rankings list, with Linda Carter lurking behind waiting for her to waver – given there is only one stop scheduled for the remainder of the season it appears that Sone may have the leader position locked down as of this past weekend. Out of a total of five events for the season, there has been only one player to win a tour stop other than Sone, that was Liz Cole at their second tournament of the season. Sone will have to continue watching over her shoulder as Linda Carter is gaining momentum each time they match up for her chance in the spotlight. Congratulations to all of the ladies for a great event and to Kyone and Linda for keeping everyone on the edge of their seats.

The next stop for the tour will be The Parlor in Bellevue, Washington, October 13-14, 2007. To find out additional information about the tour, please visit www.nwpatour.com
