The WPBA website is reporting that Karen Corr has defeated Helena Thornfeldt to win the Cuetec Cues Canadian Classic.
Corr was undefeated and defeated Jennifer Chen for the hot-seat before defeating Thornfeldt in the finals. It was Corr's second straight WPBA victory.
Corr's win, coupled with #1 ranked Allison Fisher's fourth place finish, will cut Fisher's lead on the WPBA points list to a mere 85 points. With Fisher losing 75 points of that lead at the beginning of the next event, Corr could regain the #1 position at the Nationals next month.
