In the end, a US sweep on day four of the Mosconi Cup was too much to ask for as Niels Feijen defeated a shaky Rodney Morris 6-3 to win the 2011 Mosconi Cup.

Both players were shaky in the beginning of the match, but it was Morris who took advantage of a scratch by Feijen to notch the first rack and a 1-0 lead.

A good safety by Feijen in rack two led to an open table and a 1-1 scoreline and then a scratch on the break in rack three led to a 2-1 lead for Feijen after he ran that rack.

Rack four saw Rodney Morris play a safety that led to an open table and a 2-2 scoreline.

Rack five saw Niels Feijen fight off the nerves and finish off the rack after a missed bank by Morris and a 3-2 scoreline.

Another safety by Niels led to ball in hand and a 4-2 lead and then a five ball that hung up in the jaws for Morris was all Feijen needed to get to the hill at 5-2.

A dry break by Feijen in rack eight held off the end for one more rack as Rodney ran out for a 5-3 score but a poorly played safety by Morris in the ninth rack left an elementary run for Feijen and he took no time in finishing off the rack and celebrating the victory with his team.
