Orcollo and Gomez Featured on American Billiard Radio

Dennis Orcollo and Roberto Gomez

Both Texas Open event winners, Dennis Orcollo and Roberto Gomez, are featured in the latest episode of the American Billiard Radio podcast.

Orcollo defeated Billy Thorpe in the finals of the Texas Open 9-Ball event and defeated Shane Van Boening in their “race to 120” challenge match a week earlier. Orcollo talked a little about that challenge match, as well as his loss to Gomez in the Texas Open One Pocket Division. He also touched briefly on the Covid-19 virus scare and his precautions.

Gomez, who defeated Orcollo in that Texas Open One Pocket event, talked about how he has been able to learn the game of One Pocket so quickly and his thoughts on the Covid scare.

In addition to Orcollo and Gomez, the American Billiard Radio podcast episode focuses on the infamous Milwaukee Open event in 1999 where Corey Deuel rode his soft break to a forfeit win over Earl Strickland in the finals. Show host Mike Howerton talks with Jerry Forsyth about the Milwaukee event and then both Mike and Jerry talk to Corey about his recollection of the event.
